Settings

The settings of the purchase module are used for managing the supplier groups and supplier categories.

Go to General > Basic data > Articles > Purchase > Settings.

The following items can be defined:

Supplier groups

Similarly to the customer groups in Recreatex, (see Customers manual 'GENERAL - Customers') supplier groups are used to divide suppliers into groups. In the part Supplier groups you can define and manage these groups.

Go to General > Basic data > Articles > Purchase > Settings > Supplier groups.

The list of all supplier groups will appear.

You can always create, modify or delete supplier groups.

Code

Is unique and mandatory. It is advised to choose a relevant code so that you can immediately derive from the code which supplier group is concerned.

A description of the given supplier group.

Supplier categories

In addition to the division into supplier groups, it is also possible to divide suppliers into supplier categories. In the part Supplier categories, you can define and manage these categories.

Go to General > Basic data > Articles > Purchase > Settings > Supplier categories.

The list of all supplier categories will appear.

You can always create, modify or delete supplier categories.

Code

In the lower part of the window, the subcategories of the supplier category are listed.

You can always create, modify or delete subcategories.

Warning

Only supplier categories that are fully defined (with at least one subcategory) will be included in the lists in which supplier categories can be selected. It is thus not sufficient to define a supplier category without subcategories.
