Two important notices concerning software version upgrades:
From version 7.1.0 onwards, Recreatex requires .NET 4.7.2. We recommend that you update your systems accordingly.
The minimum requirement for SQL Server software is now SQL Server 2016. In order to ensure optimum performance, stability, functionality and security, we have updated our minimum and recommended requirements for the SQL Server software. To accommodate our customers who have not updated their systems yet, we will continue to support SQL Server 2008 R2 until the end of 2019. After that time, you will be required to update to SQL Server 2016 in order to run newer versions of ReCreateX.

Re-designed vending machine
The vending machine has been completely re-designed for a modern look and feel. All screens have been optimized for a more intuitive user experience. All flows have been re-designed in order to follow a similar process. The memberships and the benefits flows have been simplified. In these release notes we will give you a general idea with a few screen shots. More specific information will be available in the manual for the vending machine.
The new home screen looks like this in its basic form. Using the configurator tool, you can add your logo in the top left corner and use a background image. Like before, the colour scheme can be adjusted to suit your brand needs.

When buying items or tickets, the customer gets a nice clear overview on the right hand side of the screen. This overview shows what is already in the basket as well as the individual cost per item and the total cost.

Optimised exhibitions flow on POS
In order to speed up exhibition ticket sales at the POS, it is now possible to link the article of an exhibition to a button on the POS instead of the exhibition itself. To set this up, navigate to POS > Settings > POS menus select your POS menu and click Settings. Drag and drop the desired articles onto the POS menu.

Round cash payments
It is now possible to round the total amount in case of cash payments. A new setting has been created for this: Navigate to General > Settings > Finances > Payment methods, select the cash payment method and go to the tab POS sales. Near the bottom of this screen you will find the new Round the amount setting. In this case it is set to 5 cents.

Mailing improvements
Non-editable PDF files instead of Word files
Navigate to Management > Mailing > Parameters. On this screen, you will find the new parameter: Send Attachments As PDF. When this check box is checked, all MS Word files will be sent as PDF files.

Inline email images
When sending an email created with a Word template the images are now only shown inside the email itself and are no longer added as attachment.
Re-designed Mailing options screen
The Mailing options screen has been re-designed in order to be more logical and efficient.

Possibility to use HTML for email templates
In previous versions of Recreatex we could define Email Messages and Email Templates. Because there was a risk of confusion between these two options and because the Email Messages allow html input instead of only text, we decided to remove all Email Templates from Recreatex and merge everything to Email Messages. With this change, it will be now possible to use html input in all the mailing screens. All Email Templates can now be found at General > Settings > E-mail Messages.
Automated mailing of employee performance overview
It is now possible to immediately send an e-mail with the performance report when it is printed and all settings for this mailing can be configured accordingly. In addition, the reports mailed out only contain the performances of the employee themselves.
To use this functionality, you need to configure these settings. Navigate to General > Parameters and click the Employees tab. At the bottom of the screen you can find 2 input fields to configure the mailing. You need to setup a sender email address and the mailing list that will be used to send emails.

On the Performance Overview screen, you can find a new section with the possibility to send the reports directly to the employee. Navigate to General > Basic Data > Employees > Reports > Performances Overview. When you check the check box to send the reports, it is mandatory to select an Email Message. There is also a check box to email only the performances that have not been emailed yet. When an employee doesn't have an email address, the report for that employee will be printed like before.

Improved email overview CRM
On the CRM tab in the address detail form, you can see all emails sent to a specific customer from Recreatex. The length of the subject and body fields has now been increased to 200 and 3000 characters respectively.
