Important to know:
Free selling
'Free selling' means sales can be made up to the available ticket quantity. This available quantity could be the offer's total available quantity or the quantity defined for the reseller category.
Reselling partners assigned with free selling can collectively sell on a first-come-first-serve basis from the common pool of available ticket quantity (which can be the total offer quantity or the quantity defined for the reseller category). There is no individual limit on how much a partner can sell.
For example, the available ticket quantity is 10,000 and 5 partners are assigned free selling for an offer. Say, one partner sells 2000 tickets. Now the available ticket quantity for all partners is 8000. The pool of available quantity will dynamically keep reducing as every partner makes sales.
Allocate
'Allocate' refers to the possibility of restricting ticket sales to a defined quantity. For a detailed description, refer to Edit capacity allocation
Direct channel
The direct channel and its subsequent levels are by default put on free selling. It is not possible to allocate quantity to the direct channel and its subsequent levels.
Indirect channel
The indirect channel and reseller sales channel are by default put on free selling. However, it is possible to allocate a defined ticket quantity to the reseller category or individual reselling partners.
