Cross-sell by URL

Note

Cross-sell by URL is only supported on the Enviso Ticketing widget.

You can display specific cross-sell offers on the Ticketing widget by appending the offer ID to the widget URL.

Example: <Ticketing widget URL>?cross-sell-offer-id=<offer ID>

Prerequsites

  • You must have the Offer ID of the offer you want to show as a cross-sell.

    To obtain the offer ID, open the offer from Enviso Sales > My Offers page. On the offer details page, the last digits in the URL represent the Offer ID.

  • The offer must be in Active status.

How cross-sell by URL appears to customers

However, if a cross-sell offer is added via a URL, and the same offer is also triggered by a cross-sell rule, it will not be displayed again as part of the cross-sell rule results.

  • Appending ?cross-sell-offer-id=<offer ID> to the Ticketing widget URL will display that offer during the Date & Time Selection step only when the customer selects a per-day or per-slot offer.

    The cross-sell offer will not appear if the customer selects a total offer, membership offer or voucher offer.

  • You can append multiple cross-sell-offer-id parameters by repeating the parameter and separating them with &.

    Example: <Ticketing widget URL>?cross-sell-offer-id=<offer ID1>&cross-sell-offer-id=<offer ID2>

  • Cross-sell offers configured in the Sales app will still apply if their conditions are met. The configured cross-sell offers will show below the calendar.

Note

URL-based cross-sell offers will only appear when the customer visits the appended URL. If the customer uses the regular widget URL, the URL-based cross-sell offers will not be shown.

Example scenario

A museum wants to promote the offer 'Guided Tour for History Enthusiasts' only to a select group of loyal customers. They send a promotional email containing a Ticketing widget URL with the offer ID appended.

Result: Only customers who click the appended URL will see 'Guided Tour for History Enthusiasts' as a cross-sell option during checkout. Customers using the normal widget link will not see this offer as a cross-sell option during checkout.
