Admission

Initial requirements

Admission is available on the Play Store. If your device does not support installing apps from the Play Store, you can download the APK from the App downloads page.

For Recreatex platform
  • The Recreatex desktop application must be installed at various POS where the memberships will be sold to the customer or marked down.

  • Internet connection must be available all the time while using the application.

  • In case of scanning cards using NFC, the configuration file of the Admission app must be configured on the server. Refer NfcCard parameter.

  • The configuration QR code for connecting the Admission app with Recreatex. The QR code will be provided by Vintia support.

  • PIN to access the Settings section.

    By default, the Settings PIN is 1234. We recommend changing it from theGeneral settings > Change PIN.

  • Admission app 5.8.0 is compatible with version 8.0.0 and onwards of the Recreatex desktop application and WSDL.

Note

For Mifare Plus SL1 and DESFire EV1

Samsung S24 Ultra and Zebra TC26 support these cards. However, the scan performance might not be optimal. You might need to tap a couple of times before the scan result is shown.

Known NFC issues with certain Android Devices

For Enviso platform
  • Integrating with the Scanning API v1 and Authentication API v1 is a pre-requisite. Please reach out to Vintia support for the API integration.

  • A Configuration QR code containing your Venue's API key and Tenant key. These keys will be provided by Vintia support. The configuration QR code will differ based on the environment you are using (Testing, Staging, or Production).

  • Internet connection must be available all the time while using the application.

  • PIN to access the Settings section. By default, the Settings PIN is 1234. We recommend changing it from theGeneral settings > Change PIN.

  • The Admission app user must have permission to scan and validate Enviso tickets/memberships. The user permissions are defined from Enviso Admin > User roles > Permissions > Scan barcode. Refer Managing roles.

  • The ticket/membership to be scanned should have been generated by the Enviso system either from a direct or indirect channel sales point.

Device requirements
  • The compatible Operating System is Android OS 5.0.0 or above.

    Note

    We recommend using Android 9.0 or above for better performance.

  • The Android device must have a camera or red light barcode scanner to scan the barcode or QR code on the card/ticket. A camera or scanner is also required to scan the configuration QR code.

  • For NFC scanning, the Android device should be equipped with NFC and NFC must be activated from the device settings.

Minimum device requirements

Warning

The minimum device requirements only serve as a reference. As the market and technology of mobile devices evolve constantly and rapidly, Vintia cannot guarantee the compatibility of mobile apps on any device that meets the minimum requirements.

If your business/organisation still needs to acquire mobile devices, please select from the Recommended devices. As Admission is a business-critical app, it is best used with one of the recommended devices.

Vintia will possibly not be able to give sufficient support for Admission when it's being used on non-supported devices. It is always recommended to contact Vintia support in order to make the correct decision on the devices to use.

Internet connection

The application needs to connect to Recreatex Services by way of the internet through at least one of the following:

NFC

Required for scanning contactless (e.g. MIFARE) membership cards/wristbands.

Warning

Not all devices with NFC also support MIFARE Classic cards! If your organisation is using MIFARE Classic, then only a limited set of devices can be used. Most NFC devices do support DESFire and MIFARE Ultralight cards.

Device camera

Required for scanning barcodes on tickets and membership cards. It should be 8MP or higher.
