Bug fixes
Resolved the issue of not being able to scan an Aztec barcode through Zebra device equipped with a red light scanning.
Improved the scanning performance in Datalogic devices. The 3-second delay between scans has been removed for NFC and camera scans to enable fast scanning.
However, the 3-second delay for red light scanning remains as it is. This is to avoid the situation of undesired, continuous scans for as long as a ticket/membership card is kept in front of a red light scanner.

For Recreatex users, a user validation works in the background at the time of starting the app, logging into the app, and resuming the app. This is to ensure that the logged-in user is a valid user of the Admission app.
The local time zone is displayed in the Visitors section of the Admission app.
While deducting entries, if the remaining turn is zero, the scan result will show a yellow bar.

v5.0.0.0
Released on 26 Dec 2023
Scan without switching platforms
With Admission 5.0 it is possible to scan Enviso and Recreatex tickets/memberships without having to switch platforms.
Once both the platforms are configured, the Admission app automatically identifies whether it is a Recreatex or Enviso barcode and validates access accordingly.
Activate membership upon scan
In Recreatex, if a membership is configured to be activated on the first visit, you will now be able to activate it from the Admission app.
For this purpose, the membership setting Active membership must be enabled.
Validate access with Enviso access zone
For Enviso ticket/membership scans can be validated with the access zones and readers configured in Enviso.
New app flow
With Admission version 5.0, you will need to first create a profile.
Thereafter, you will need to configure the ticketing platform. Once that is done, you can log into your account with Employee credentials/Employee name and reader selection and start validating visitor access.
New app Settings and modifications
New app settings have been introduced with the Admission version 5.0:
The setting options have been re-organised. When both the ticketing platforms are configured, the settings specific to Recreatex or Enviso are marked with their respective logos.
The app setting to enable an Alphanumeric keyboard has been removed. Now you can switch keyboards from the Manual entry screen itself.
Scan platform configuration barcode
While configuring the ticketing platform, if the device supports red light barcode scanning, you will have the option to scan the platform configuration barcode using the scanner button in the top-right corner of the screen.
New parameters in the app configuration file
The app configuration file required for setting up Admission 5.0, contains new parameters such as CCCARDS (to support scanning custom cards) and AddIdValueType
.
Performance improvement
Flow and Feature | Admission prev version | Admission 5.0 |
---|---|---|
App Start time | 2000 milliseconds | 800 milliseconds |
Web Config & Login | 5000 milliseconds | 3400 milliseconds |
Scanning QR / Barcodes | 600 milliseconds | 300 milliseconds |
Known issues
Enviso multi-tenant is not supported. Multi-tenant refers to the multiple venues added to an organisation in Enviso.
The tab Enviso on the Visitors screen does not support showing visitor logs for the Enviso scans.
If access has been denied multiple times for a visitor, on the Visitors screen, you will see logs for each time access was denied to the visitor.
If the app is not killed before starting it again, it gives an error (unsupported card) the next time the app is started.
Two pop-ups show while scanning memberships using camera/NFC. In this situation, you will need to close both the scanning results one by one.
