Introduction
Before installing the mPOS application, a specific setup procedure needs to be executed, which essentially includes setting up the configuration file parameters and printing methods.
Initial requirements
Initial requirements for installing the application are:
Recreatex desktop application must be installed and configured with various POS in the Sales zones.
Internet connection is required for all the functionalities of the application.
The configuration QR code for connecting the mPOS app with Recreatex. The QR code will be provided by Vintia support.
For logging into the mPOS app, the employee must have his/her employee PIN or NFC enabled card/wristband.
If you are the Administrator, you must have:
PIN to access the Settings section for modifying application settings.
Depending on the app settings, it is possible that you will also need to have the Exit PIN.
In case of using Ingenico to process card payment, the app MyPaydesk must be installed and configured on the device used for mPOS. For a more detailed description on installing and configuring MyPaydesk, refer to the documentation mPOS Setup guide.
In case of using Adyen to process card payment, the Adyen devices must be configured in the mPOS configuration file. For a detailed description of configuring Adyen payment devices, refer to the documentation mPOS Setup guide.
mPOS 3.5.1.0 is compatible with the Recreatex desktop application and WSDL version 8.0.0 and above.

Note
Custom cards are supported from mPOS 2.8.1 onwards. In order to be able to use custom cards (non-Vintia cards), you will need to define the card parameters within the mPOS configuration file. For a detailed description, refer to Configuring custom cards in the documentation mPOS setup guide.
For using Ingenico for payments
The MyPaydesk app must be installed and configured on the device used for mPOS. For a more detailed description on installing and configuring MyPaydesk, refer to the documentation mPOS Setup guide.
You will need to activate using Ingenico for payments from mPOS Settings > Payment > MyPaydesk.
For using Adyen payment terminal
Vintia will provide a pre-configured Adyen payment terminal.
Thereafter, the Adyen payment terminal must be configured in the mPOS configuration file. For a detailed description on how to do so, refer to the documentation mPOS Setup guide.
You will need to activate Adyen for payments from mPOS Settings > Payment > Adyen.

Device requirements
For mPOS, the device must have Android OS 4.4.0 or newer.
The Android device should have a camera for scanning the barcode/QR code of the app configuration, membership card number, voucher code, and so on.
For NFC scanning, the Android device must have a built-in NFC reader.
Minimum device requirements
Warning
The minimum device requirements only serve as a reference. As the market and technology of mobile devices evolve constantly and rapidly, Vintia cannot guarantee the compatibility of the mobile apps on any device that fits the minimum requirements.
As mPOS is a business-critical app, it must be used with one of the recommended devices.
Vintia will not be able to give sufficient support for mPOS when it's being used on non-supported devices.
